David Franz Jr.
President and Lead Sales

With more than 20 years of construction experience, David Jr. leads Orbit’s sales process and helps guide each project from the initial conversation through completion.

His background includes framing, finish carpentry, landscape construction, residential and commercial construction management, and home remodeling. A craftsman at heart, David brings hands-on knowledge, attention to detail, and practical problem-solving to every renovation.

David is a Concord resident, husband, and father of three. He is active in his church and enjoys spending time with his family and outdoors.

Founder, Consultant, and Lead Designer

David Sr. founded Wood Tech Construction in 1990 and has spent more than three decades serving homeowners throughout Northeast Ohio.

His experience includes building more than 30 homes, completing numerous additions and remodels, and working as a superintendent for local builders. Today, he provides structural design, project planning, and problem-solving support for Orbit and other area construction professionals.

Outside of work, David enjoys riding his motorcycle, volunteering in the community, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Koen Franz

Third-Generation Team Member

Koen represents the third generation of the Franz family to join the business. After graduating from high school, he began working alongside his father and grandfather while continuing his education through business classes at Lakeland Community College.

As he gains hands-on construction experience and learns the business, Koen is helping carry Orbit’s commitment to craftsmanship, service, and family values into the next generation.
