David is strong in his faith in God, active at his church, enjoys spending time with his family, and loves the outdoors.
David Franz, Jr – President and Lead Sales
David Franz, Jr. has over 20 years of professional construction experience and grew up in a construction family. A Concord resident, husband, and father of three, he brings both personal commitment and industry knowledge to every project.
David holds an Associate of Science degree from Lakeland Community College and continues to prioritize ongoing learning in the field. His experience includes landscape construction, framing, finish carpentry, residential and commercial construction management, and serving as a Project Manager for home remodels since 2020.
At his core, David considers himself a craftsman with a passion for finish carpentry and problem-solving. His attention to detail and hands-on experience guide the quality and execution of every renovation.
David Franz, Sr – Consultant and Lead Design
As the founder of Wood Tech Construction, the parent company of Orbit Building and Remodeling, David Franz, Sr. began his career in framing and general contracting. Wood Tech has served Northeast Ohio since 1990.
With expertise in structural design and project management, David identifies, troubleshoots, and corrects structural issues related to residential construction. His design services are utilized both in house and by other local builders.
David has personally built over 30 homes, completed numerous additions and remodels, and has served as Superintendent for two local builders. He values strong relationships with customers, trade partners, vendors, and local municipalities.
Orbit Building and Remodeling was formed to focus on outdoor living spaces, basement finishing, and whole home remodels.
When he is not working, David enjoys riding his motorcycle, volunteering in the community, and spending time with his grandchildren.
